Has anyone found a local supplier of garnet that will sell smaller amounts? Shipping is obviously a big part of the cost.

I found that Grainger supplies it with free pickup, but I don't know if it's compatible with the ProtoMax.

Hello, users are encouraged to check out local, competitive, garnet sources and thanks for launching a request in the community for their input! The folks on the ProtoMAX team are available to discuss options including local industrial water jet customers that may be able to sell part of their pallet stock, a few bags at a time, and also the relative benefits of individual bucket vs. pallet size purchasing. Feel free to call 1-818-647-1994 or email support@protomax.com and we can look at opportunities for your specific area.

We also encourage the user group to respond. Thanks!!

Barton.com sells abrasives for waterjets. The Alltek 80HPA is a good choice. You can get that by the pallet which is 2,200 pounds for $0.28/lb plus about $150 freight to the East Coast.
