Making the most with your ProtoMAX.

Are there any optimized settings and parts for water-only cutting available? I see a special nozzle for the MAXJET, is there anything that will fit the ProtoMax? I've been experimenting with it a bit. Cut a bunch of gaskets recently on top of 1/4 plywood with the material set to steel in Make. I've also used it to cut some adhesive rubber sheets with the tank half drained to avoid getting any garnet embedded in the adhesive, and for making very light markings on sheet metal to indicate bending points.
Very creative fixturing! There are no alternative nozzle body configurations for ProtoMAX nor is there an ability to change any settings specific to water only cutting. There are ways to "fool" the system to speed up or slow down the cut as you have noticed either by changing material selection, thickness, or quality of cut. You can also select Etch from quality icon and really speed up the feed rate. Another fixturing idea is to use acrylic for top and bottom sandwiching of material. Feel free to send specific applications to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can take a more detailed look.
