I cut stallion part in our sample folder with multiple different very thick materials (Approximately 1 inch / 25 mm thick). Each part shows characteristics of cutting different materials and demonstrates nicely on each sample. They were cut with thick materials in order to show the quality of cut that Proto-MAX is capable of. Materials used for these parts are Aluminum, Mild Steel, UHMW, Foam, Wood, Granite.

Note: Cutting complex geometry with lots of corners (like the mane of the stallion) in thick hard materials like metal takes considerable amount of time (as in hours). This is because cutting becomes exponentially slower as thickness increases. It works great though! Cutting soft materials like wood and plastic and foam is very fast. Likewise, cutting in hard materials but not as thick, goes significantly faster.
