How much time would I be waiting for my parts to finish? How fast does it cut? What affects cutting speed? What would be an example of a slow path that is barely practical?

Thanks for your Question. Cutting speed is affected by three major factors. The type of cut finish needed, from a faster cut with a rough and poor cut tolerance to slower cut with a smooth and better cut tolerance. The type and thickness of material are the last two factors. The actual nozzle movement is automatically calculated when these factors are entered into ProtoMAX Make, or the cutting program. No additional knowledge is needed, so even a very inexperienced operator can achieve excellent results. Using the LAYOUT drawing program will help you understand the process. If you would like an actual cut time on a specific part please contact us.
